NOTD - What's Black, White & Red All Over?

Hola & Happy Hump Day my beauts! Hope you're all having a tip top week!

So...What IS Black, White & Red all over I hear you ask?? Before you begin to panic & start thinking oh good lord have mercy on us Aysh no, please not a joke...fear not. Nope the answer is NOT a newspaper or a sunburnt penguin but tis in actual fact my nails today! Again I found myself looking to Instagram for some nail-spiration & came across this gorgeous take on leopard print by the lovely & talented Halat of MyAwesomeBeauty. I love the colours she used so much I had to get some red, black & white leopard print on my nails asap!

What do you think? I absolutely loved the colour combination, so different yet striking too! When hunting out which red to use for my base I reached for Rimmel Salon Pro Lycra polish in Rock N Roll which is my favourite red at the mo. Not only is the shade the most gorgeous pin up red, but the formula is fantastic with a great quality brush & almost a one coater! I still went for my regular two coats which dried quickly to a lovely glossy finish. Defo need more of these!

Once I had my red base nice & dry as you don't want the colours bleeding into each other, I used NYC Pinstripe White & placed random splodgy dots, about four on to each nail, using the polish brush. The great thing about leopard print is that it doesn't have to be perfect.

Then grabbing my Models Own nail art pen in black I just added C shaped brackets to each white dot, kind of almost sandwiching them with the black before adding a few extra black dots as well.

Finishing off with a coat or two of topcoat to make those nails shine & you're done! Leopard print is definitely one of my favourite designs to do, so easy & the colour combos you can try are endless!

Thanks as always for reading my lovelies! Are you a fan of leopard print? Any colour combo recommendations?

Lotsa love to ya!

NOTD - Black Hearts & Golden Sands...

Hello there my lovely readers! Are you all having a lovely weekend?

Today has featured some quality mumma & daughter time where we decided to take a drive up to where my new place of work will be in over a week. To our delight there also happened to be a lovely village market going on with sellers shouting out their wares on offer making us feel like we'd been transported right into Oliver! Amongst the many intriguing stalls there was plenty of fresh fruit on offer as well as yummy freshly baked goods & whilst I wanted to buy everything I managed to restrain myself & came home with some delicious Red Velvet Cake & blueberries which I can't wait to tuck in to. Good shopping :)

Today's post involves some sparkle courtesy of 2True Cosmetics as we are venturing into THAT time of year where sparkle is required in abundance! I've been a fan of 2True polishes for a while as they have a lovely range of good quality shades at very reasonable prices. This latest range, Sequins is part of the 2True Pro range & features a beautiful collection of sparkly pretty glitters named after Supermodels of the 90's which is a concept I love!

In this quick mani I've used the shade *Tyra, the gold shade in the range, which also includes Christy (Silver), Eva (Blue), Elle (Red) & Naomi (Purple). Tyra is a stunning pale gold polish filled with lots of tiny glitters as well as some larger glitter pieces making the polish really sparkle. I managed to get a complete opaque finish after two coats & the finish is almost texture like with all the glitter. It reminds me of beautiful sandy beaches!

For a spot of quick nail art I just added some quick heart shaped tips using W7 Black polish, & using the brush that comes with the polish, free handed the heart like design on to the tips.

To finish I applied two coats of topcoat for shine & to smoothen out the glitter however if you want to keep the rough textured finish then just skip the topcoat :)

Hope you liked! Thank for reading as always dolls! The 2True Pro Sequins polishes retail for £4.00 & can be found in Superdrugs. Will you be digging out your favourite sparkle shades for the upcoming festive season?

Lotsa love to ya!

NOTD - Venturing Over To The Dark Side With Collection Gothic Glam

Hola! Happy Hump Day chums! ;) Hope the week is being good to you all!

Now I do love rocking me a good gothic mani on my nails I do, especially this time of year when one finds themselves reaching for those darker sultry tones. Ooooh isn't that a nice word...suuuuultry. Ahem! Anyways right now Collection cosmetics have a divine range of polishes titled Gothic Glam & includes a collection of four gorgeously vampy shades to help one get in touch with their darker side ;)

I couldn't wait to get in with some Gothic action on my nails, so for this mani I have to show you lovelies today I used two polishes from the range as well as throwing in a bit of nail art with a little help from black polish & good ol' cello tape.

The collection consists of four different shades in total, including a blue & purple all of which are just BEAUT. I'm truly impressed with the quality & formula considering how much these retail for & I should also mention that the brush is fab! I couldn't use just one pretty polish so here I've used two from the range *Deadly & *Dramatic on alternate nails.

Dramatic is a beautiful berry wine shade perfect right now with dark pink macroglitter running through giving the polish a nice edge & delightful shimmer.

Now Deadly is my definite fav, at first glimpse it appears to be a dark antique gold in the bottle but once on the nail it is in fact the most lush deep moss olive green shade with lots of pretty gold macroglitter thrown in. So beautiful!

I applied two coats of each shade before adding a quick dry topcoat to make sure it was completely dry before going in with the tape. This is my second go at a tape mani & I'm super happy with the results, so much better than my first disastrous attempt! The trick is once you've applied your tape how you want it, here I just applied two squares at an angle, paint over with the black polish & remove the tape IMMEDIATELY whilst the polish is still wet. Its also a good idea to have all your tape pieces cut up ready to use before you get started to avoid any smudging sticky messes!

Hope you liked the Gothic mani dolls! It kinda reminds me of lizard eyes! ;) The Collection Gothic Glam range also consists of some vampy dark lip shades as well as the polishes which retail for around £3.19 & can be found in Boots, Superdrug & online. Thanks for reading!

Lotsa love to ya!

NOTD - French Nails With A Twist!

Ello ello sweetlings!

So Monday...we meet again *sighs* :-/ Normally I hate how time seems to be flying by these days, I mean Xmas next month already...whaaaat?!) but I really do hope this month goes swiftly so I can finally begin my new job & look forward to what the next year will bring :) Hmmm perhaps patience is not my forte...maybe? ;)

Today I have a different take on a French Manicure to share with you lovelies but with a slight twist to it, giving a nice change to your bog standard French nails. This design was inspired by a fab Instagram account I follow, NewlyPolished, which always has the most amazing nail art designs that can be easily recreated like this one! IG is definitely the place I go to these days for some nailspiration :D Anyhoos...on to the nails!

What do you think? I just completely fell in love with the pretty feminine design & couldn't wait to give it a go myself! To begin with I applied a coat of Barry M Nude over the whole nail as a base for my mani.

Next I free handed some chevrons onto the tips of the nails using what may be the best nude...ever...Misguided's Misscellaneous. Such a fab nude shade with a lovely creamy formula, I love it! Then for the pretty white lace-like design I used my Models Own Nail art pen, though you can use any white polish with a small nail art brush & starting from the centre, drew a V like shape with curved edges before continuing the design on either side of the V, along the inside of the chevron tip till you reach the edge.

For a touch of sparkle I couldn’t resist adding a little diamant√© nail art stone on the center of each nail before going over the design with a thick coat of topcoat to seal. And that it! French nails with a twist! I'm also getting a serious wedding vibe with this design & think it would make a lovely bridal manicure too!

Thanks as always for stopping by dolls!

Lotsa love to ya!

NOTD - China Glaze Marry A Millionaire!

Well hello there lovely readers!

Ooooh its been a wee while non? Life's being a tad hectic of late hence the absence on here but its all been good, much better even! If you follow me on Twitter you'll know I had some much needed good news last week in that I've been offered a new job :) I'm absolutely over the moon & super excited about my new role which will still be pharmacy based, which is the field I work in by day, but more behind the scenes. Hopefully I'll still be able to find time for this little space of mine on the inter-web, I can't imagine life without blogging now, it brings me so much joy so will deffo try me bestest! :D

On to today’s posts darlings, as this week has seen both Fireworks/Bonfire Night & Diwali celebrations, I thought I'd make my first post of the month a super sparkly glittery one! As its only like my favourite kind ;)

What did I tell ya? SPARKLE! o_O How awesome is that glitter?! This little pretty is China Glaze Marry A Millionaire which I snapped up in a blog sale (oh god blog sales...why you tempt you so!) This particular glitter was part of a fun Marilyn Monroe inspired collection back in 2011

China Glaze is definitely up there as one of my favorite polish brands, the quality is just fantastic & they always have the widest range of interesting fun collections! Marry A Millionaire is a gorgeous densely packed lavender glitter, with some deep dark purple glitters thrown in there too as well as lots of multi-chrome bar glitters that flash green & gold in different lighting's.

I applied two coats of Marry A Millionaire on a base of Models Own Mystic Mauve & Face of Australia Titanium applied on alternate nails, both gorgeous foils, the former being a shimmery lilac shade & the latter a beautiful metallic silver. Though after applying the glitter the finish was almost the same on both shades! :D

Not forgetting a thick coat of topcoat to smooth out that glitter & your nails are ready for dazzling & millionaire hunting! Hope you liked & happy celebrations to you all. Thanks as always for stopping by lovelies!

Lotsa love to ya!
